Amadeo believes the mission field starts in our homes, neighborhoods, and local communities.  We are committed to demonstrating God's love to those people within arms reach.

We work to do this by inviting others into our homes, participating in servant evangelism, serving the needy, poor, and sick, providing meals to those who are pregnant or have special needs, and various other ways in which the Spirit moves us to follow Jesus' example of loving those around us.

*Feed the Homeless every Saturday night at Escalante Park.  6pm.  www.friendsfeedfriends.org

*Get involved in the food pantry and clothing pantry at RE:STORE...  www.restorenonprofit.com We always need people to help organize the pantry or serve during "open," hours.

*Also, we are involved serving in our local apartments.  Every other Saturday.

*AMADEO encourages kindness evangelism - buying people's groceries in line behind you, and people's food in fast food lines.  Simple things are not "lame," things.  The senior high and junior high as well as small groups do lots of little events such as passing out "thank you bags," to people working in local merchant stores - that include chips, soda, a small snack, etc.  We pass out waters at ballgames, and dog bones at dog parks.  Free car washes, and serving in our kids local schools.

*We also bring local missionaries to Arizona - Michaela was our first to AMADEO from the UK - and Kris and Cathy came from Northern Ireland and the Upper Bann Vineyard.  We also had a whole crew coming from the east coast - Tony and the Ember Cast.  Missionary work happens in a two way relationship, long term, as often as we are able.

*Another cool local service (not run by AMADEO - but by a friend of AMADEO) is Called "Room for Joy."  Room For Joy is dedicated to enhancing the healing process of chronically ill children by providing positive, imaginative bedroom environments. We give special attention to the medical, physical and emotional needs of each child by adding special touches that personalize the rooms and fulfill their dreams!  We enable you through your donations to touch a child's life.    Check then out here and see how you can help www.roomforjoy.org.
