Amadeo believes that discipleship is primary in growing individuals and a church family closer to Christ.
One on One Every leader in the church (Deacon, Elders, Members) is expected to both be in a discipleship relationship and to be discipling other people. Training them in:
1. Biblical Orthodoxy (Biblical Truth)
a. Two greatest commandments b. Great Commission c. Verses on the Trinity d. Verses on Salvation by Grace e. Verses on the Sovereignty of God f. Verses on the wages of sin - death, hell, etc g. Verses on the depravity of man
2. Biblical Orthopraxy (Biblical Practices)
a. Missional verses (Gen 12:1-3, Jonah [all], Matt 29:19, Matthew 24:14, Acts 1:8) b. Caring for the poor, widows, homeless, orphans c. Social Justice verses d. Biblical Stewardship of earth, our bodies, the church h. Leadership Qualifications i. Authority issues j. Order in church and families h. The importance of intimacy with God
3. Kingdom Theology (The Gospel of the Kingdom as Preached by Jesus)
a. Kingdom now verses b. Kingdom not yet verses c. Kingdom Coming verses d. Charateristics of the kingdom e. The presence of the Holy Spirit f. The empowering of the Holy Spirit
If during a discipleship relationship it becomes clear that further training would benefit an indivual Amadeo recommends any or all of the following options:
1. Church Planter Training 2. Leadership Paths 3. Leadership Class: Lay People 4. Chariformissional Training: Amadeo Gospel & Missional Class 5. Membership Class: Amadeo Values & Leadership preparation. 6. Sunday Morning Teaching 7. Small Group/Accountability & Spiritual Formation Groups
If other training is desired it is recommended to discuss with the pastors.
