Over the next few weeks we will be examining 1st and 2nd Timothy and Titus.

We will be exploring what it looks like to become a maturing church in a pluralistic, relativistic society. We will first explore how a church matures by focusing on the character of God the father, God the Son Jesus Christ, and God the Holy Spirit. Then we will examine who we are in Christ according to Paul.

God is taking our church through a season of maturation after a season of beautiful growth and painful pruning. We will examine how the early church dealt with their growing pains as they began maturing. We will examine Paul's advice to one of his main "sons in the faith," Timothy.  We will examine what it looks like to be a disciple of Christ as we look at Paul mentoring of Timothy.

We will also examine how sound doctrine, Holy Spirit leading, and church order is necessary for maturity in the body of Christ which is the church. We will examine the roles of elders, deacons, and men and women in leadership and discuss culture and gain an understanding of how the relationship between Christ and the church influences church hierarchies and relationships. We will discuss the beauty of humility, God-given authority, and the role of mutual submission in healthy churches.

Jesus loves his church and loves making disciples for his own glorification.

This will be an awesome time, with an awesome God who is taking us into an exciting season.

Come join us as we seek after his kingdom and his righteousness - the righteousness of Christ.
