The Infallible Word

2 Timothy 3:16

All scripture is God breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness.

Caveat: (However, man's interpretation is completely open to error)

On Sola Scriptura

1. We do believe that the scriptures are sufficient for teaching, dealing with disputable matters, and gaining all important understandings of the soveriegnty of God, the efficacy of Christ's atonement, and the works of the Holy Spirit.

2. We do not believe that God is limited to working only in the ways demonstrated in the Old & new Testaments. Some examples of this:

a. there were no modern seminaries, yet we believe they are beneificial to the body of Christ
b. there were no movie theatres or televisions, but we still believe God would use them today
c. we are not limited to the signs and wonders seen only in the Bible.

Jonathan Edwards states it best here: (See small quote below)

"because there may be new and extraordinary works of God, and he has heretofore evidently wrought in an extraordinary manner. He has brought to pass new things, strange works; and has wrought in such a manner as to surprise both men and angels. And as God has done thus in times past, so we have no reason to think but that he will do so still. The prophecies of Scripture give us reason to think that God has things to accomplish, which have never yet been seen"
