Trinity
We believe in ONE God in three persons: the Father, Son & The Holy Spirit. The Son, Jesus Chist, is one and the same as Father God, as is evident in the Holy Scriptures. The Son does only what he sees the father doing, and the Spirit testifies to the Son. The mystery of the Trinity is seen in the Old Testament name for God: Elohim, and made clear in the New Testament with the Word, who was God, becoming Flesh and dwelling among us in the Person of Jesus (John 1). God's remaining fullness is seen in the Pentecost when the Holy Spirit is given to those who are believers.

Trinity - The Holy Spirit
The Holy Spirit is:

Convictor: convicts us of sin

Guide: Guides us into all truth.

Teacher: Lead us into all truth, teaching us what to say at a given moment.

(As a sidenote, the word for Holy Spirit is written in the feminine form.)

Trinity - The Son
The Son is:

Servant: "I did not come to be served but to serve."

Friend: "I used to call you servants, but now I call you friends."

Gift of Salvation: "Nobody comes to the father except through the son."

Obedient: "I only do what I see my father doing."

God: "My father and I are one."

Trinity - The Father
God the Father is:

Creator: Involved in creating things that are "very good:" His creation. He reveals his gospel through all creation so that none are without excuse. He gifts people with the ability to create good things through the uses of the arts and sciences. Since his creation is made in His image, we too are endowed with the gifts of creation, though on a much smaller scale, of course: a natural expression of this is in inventions, arts and creativity.

Law Giver: Completely Holy, God's original law was for man to partake in everything that he had created except for the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. God's righteousness and justice demanded consequences for actions that were contrary to his perfect plan. After mankind's rebellion God continued to give laws to help man realize the impossibility of obtaining a righteousness on his own. For what the law was powerless to do, Christ did by dying on the Cross.

Disciplinarian: A Father disciplines those he loves, knowing that discipline builds character and leads to Holiness that is pleaseing to God and powerful and effective for doing the will of God. His discipline is just and His mercy is great, unlike abusive and controlling fathers we may have known in our lives, or absentee fathers that were unavailable to offer proper training and guidance.

Loving Care-Giver: Father God loves his children, caring for them, giving them just what they need and withholding what needs withholding.

Authoritarian: Not in abusive ways, but instead, the type who extends His authority to His people. He gives Adam the authority to name the animals and subdue all creation. He gave authority to his son, who gave it to his disciples, and then to the 72, and now to us who have the Holy Spirit.

All Wise: The wisdom of God is foolishness to the people of this age. God knows what is best for us, and will provide for us according to His riches in glory.

Old Man Skills: God can, like most fathers, somehow do things that seem impossible. He can still whipp us at basketball, and still fix the part on the car we seem to be unable to handle. Father God will help us if we ask. Often times we have not because we ask not. Father God is desiring that we will come to him and ask Him for His help.
